Turkey is becoming increasingly popular with British tourists who are considering an alternative to the traditional destinations for a HOT Holiday in the sun.
Part of the appeal of a trip to Turkish soil comes from the fact that the country is split across two continents; offering the unique opportunity to explore both Europe and Asia.
In fact, pay a trip to Turkey’s largest city Istanbul and you could visit both continents in a matter of hours by simply taking a trip across the Bosphorus from one side of the city to the other.
As with many other countries around the Mediterranean, Turkey benefits from impressive weather conditions throughout the year, with warm and sunny summers and mild winters.
Aside from the historical sites that are located across Istanbul, which include the likes of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar, there is a range of other destinations on Turkish soil that you might want to consider.
Further examples of Turkish history are on display in the capital city Ankara but for a lot of people, Turkey is now all about a trip to the coast.
Head for the region around Antalya and you’re sure to enjoy a fun-filled break in an area now known as the Turkish Riviera thanks to its stunning sandy beaches and the upmarket resorts that now line the coast.
It’s a similar story in both Dalaman and Bodrum, where the combination of gorgeous beaches and fun-packed resorts that offer something for the whole family only serves to show why Turkey is now so appealing.
