Meloneras

Situated to the south of the island of Gran Canaria, Meloneras is a purpose built resort that is home to some of the most impressive accommodation to be found anywhere on the island.

Close to both Maspalomas and Playa del Ingles, the resort offers plenty of opportunity to relax, with an impressive stretch of beach that is ideal for lying back and taking in the sun.

Around half a kilometre in length, the beach features the trademark golden sand for which Gran Canaria is so well known, and sits alongside a large promenade where there is a selection of restaurants and bars.

The warm and inviting waters are perfect for those who want to take a refreshing dip, whilst you don’t have to go far to explore the impressive sand dunes of Maspalomas; which are a short walk away.

Aside from the beach, those who head for Meloneras will be able to spend time relaxing in a range of stylish bars and restaurants, or embracing the opportunity to enjoy some retail therapy in one of the various shopping centres that are packed with designer labels.

Within a short trip from Meloneras, you’ll also find a popular waterpark, a western themed attraction park, a selection of golf courses or could also head out to sea to seek out dolphins or try your hand at deep-sea fishing.

Meloneras has plenty to offer when the sun goes down, with a number of places in which you can chill out with a glass of wine or a cold beer whilst listening to some live music.

There are also plenty of stylish restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat whilst those who want to experience the more vibrant side of the island could head for Playa del Ingles; where there is the chance to dance the night away in one of the various clubs.
