Valamoura is in the central Algarve region of Portugal. Although, not a typical Algarve town, Valamoura is a purpose-built tourist resort, with everything for the holidaymaker. The main centre of activity is around the marina, with a vast range of shops, restaurants and cafes. Including many designer outlets. For those wishing to see the sights a little, there is a tourist train that takes you around the resort. The resort is a good base for exploring the rest of the Algarve, and many excursions are available.
