The Tropical Sol Apartments are in a quiet location the Areias de Sao Joao area of Albufeira, just 10 minutes from the beach. Close to the complex are shops, cafes and restaurants. Oura Beach is 800 metres away, and Albufeira Marina is just over 3 km from the resort.

Albufeira, is one of the most popular resorts in the Algarve. renowned for its sandy beaches and marina. The Old Town was destroyed in 1755 by a massive earthquake, and all that remains is the remnants of the old castle that was built in the Roman era. The clock tower that still stands is lit up on festive occasions.

Leading off the square are the old cobbled streets that wind their way up through the hillside. Around the square tourists can sit in the many cafes and bars and watch the world go by, or see the sunset. The Old Town is a relatively quiet area, so if it is nightlife you are after, ‘The Strip’ is the place to be. Here, you will find bars and clubs that are open all night long.
