Torre Velha Hotel is located just 4.5 km from the historic town of Albufeira. It is a 6-minute walk to Castelo and Evaristo beaches, and shops and cafes are within walking distance. The Torre Velha Hotel is set in a quiet location, but with easy access to the main attractions of Albufeira, including the famous ‘Strip’, with its shops, bars and restaurants and of course the nightclubs that are open until the early hours of the morning.
The Old Town has a lovely square surrounded by shops and cafes, with narrow cobbled streets winding up through the hillside. All that remains of the original town is part of the castle walls and an old clock tower. They date back to Roman times. The town was destroyed by an earthquake in 1755.
Albufeira is one of the most popular resorts in the Algarve, on Portugal’s southern coastline, mainly because of its fantastic sandy beaches.
