The Strelitzias Apartments is a 1-star complex that is located in the resort centre, close to the lively nights and the glorious beach that stretches for 4 miles to the resort of Maspalomas.

On the beach, there are a number of water sports to take part in such as water skiing, parascending, jet bikes and there is also a surf school to try out surfing for the first time.

You can also take a stroll along the beach from Playa de ingles to the neighbouring resort of Maspalomas, home of the beautiful sand dunes.

At the beachfront, there are many activities for the children such as trampolines, crazy golf and arcade games rooms and there is an abundance of bars and restaurants, which most are open in the mornings to serve breakfast through to late at night for a delicious evening meal.

There is a local bus service that runs through the resort and stops close to the complex where you can take a short trip to many shopping outlets, or to the famous Yumbo centre which is known for its fabulous entertainment bars. The bus also goes as far as the resort of Puerto Rico and to the island's capital Las Palmas where you can do a bit of shopping at the newly built El Muelle shopping centre located at the port.

The Strelitzias Apartments has a reception desk that is only open for limited times in the day and evening, but can offer a number of services including currency exchange, luggage storage for guests returning home on a late flight, tourist information and they can also assist in excursion ticket sales for some great fun filled days out, which some are right on your doorstep.

The large swimming pool is perfect for swimming lengths of the pool and the large surrounding sun terrace is just what you need to chill out, unwind and all you have to worry about is where you will be eating that night.

As you step out of the complex, you will find many supermarkets selling a large selection of fresh and frozen food, so that you can create some lovely meals back at the apartments.

The evenings are always something to look forward to as you have such a large selection of restaurants to choose from for you evening meal. Most will have children's menu and also offer their Canarian specialities for you to try. For a change of scenery, you could take a short taxi ride to Maspalomas, the Faro 2 Centre or the Yumbo Centre which are all open until late and many of them will offer their exquisite culinary delights that will make you want to return back there.

The apartments have been modernised and the newly decorated apartments all have a lounge area with a sofa bed and coffee tables, a kitchenette with a dining table or a breakfast bar, a bedroom with a double or twin beds, private bathroom and a furnished balcony or terrace with pool or street views.

The Strelitzias Apartments are basic but clean and would suit anyone on a budget, or if you are just looking for a base for your lively holiday in Gran Canaria.
