Lageado Sol Apartments 3 stars

The Lageado Sol Apartments are in a quiet, residential area in the centre of Albufeira. They are within walking distance of a local supermarket and close to the Strip with its lively nightlife. The centre of Albufeira is about a 15 minute walk. The beautiful Oura beach is a 15 minute walk from the complex. Aveiros beach and Fisherman beach (located in the Old Town) are both about 20 minutes’ walk. The Old Town of Albufeira is a pretty town with winding cobbled streets going up into the hillside.

Albufeira was devastated by an earthquake in 1755 and was totally destroyed. It now has only the remains of a castle dating back to Roman times. The most prominent part of the remains is the Torre do Relogio (clock tower) which was built on one of the old castle towers, and is often lit up on festive occasions. Located in Portugal’s Algarve area on the south coast, Albufeira is one of the countries’ most popular holiday resorts.
