Waikiki

Waikiki is a district within the city of Honolulu that is famous throughout the world for being home to one of Hawaii’s top beaches - one that was once viewed as something of a playground for Hawaiian royalty.

Within Waikiki, there are plenty of hotels that line the coastal areas, with the main strip being one of the most vibrant parts of the island of Oahu - with world class resorts, top class dining and a range of entertainment options all located in close proximity to one another.

The beach is the main draw for those heading to Waikiki, with plenty of people taking the opportunity to try their hand at surfing in front of the statue of Duke Kahanamoku - regarded as a master of the water from years gone by.

Aside from the beach, Waikiki is home to Honolulu Zoo as well as an aquarium for those who have a love of all things nature wise whilst a stroll along the Waikiki Historical Trail allows you to take in some of the sights and features information posted on a number of surfboards.

You also don’t have to go far to reach the other attractions across wider Honolulu and Oahu as a whole, including the likes of Pearl Harbor and the bustling Chinatown district.
