Hurghada

Hurghada is split into 4 different areas; El Dahar which is the Old Town, Sakkala which is where most of the hotels, shops, bars and restaurants can be found, the Golden Mile which is named after the beautiful beaches and El Kawser which is in the South of the resort. When you travel to Hurghada there are plenty of things to do and see.

Top of your list of 'Things to do' needs to be snorkelling, diving or a boat trip so you can take in all the stunning sea life including colourful fish and beautiful corals. Divers tend to return here year after year as it is so beautiful. You don't have to bring your own equipment as there are plenty of places to hire it from along the beaches, there are even dive schools if you are a beginner. If you are not so keen on going under water you can still explore the sea by going on a glass bottom boat trip or hire out a boat for the afternoon.

El Gouna and Soma Bay are great if you like golf. There is a fantastic golf course here to enjoy a round or 2. At the marina there is traditional bazaar where you will find everything and anything from clothing and leather goods to handmade crafts, fruit and vegetables. The traders love a bit of haggling, you will certainly be able to get the price down! The new marina is home to a great choice of shops, bars and restaurants. Most of the shops around the marina sell a variety of designer goods, souvenirs and sunglasses.

Jungle Aqua Park is located on the road to Safaga. This is a very popular aqua park for tourists as well as locals. It has 14 swimming pools, 35 water slides and a large area for relaxing. The kids can have fun in the separate play area with their own swimming pools, climbing frames and water slides. Not only are there single rider slides but there are group slides and a family slide. The lazy river is great for relaxing and when you've had enough and want a bite to eat, there are 14 restaurants to choose from!

Whilst staying in Hurghada you can take a day trip to Cairo and Luxor where you can visit the pyramids and the City of a Hundred Gates. Explore the Sahara Desert on a Jeep Safari or visit the ancient monasteries of St Paul and St Anthony. There is so much to see and do you won't know where to start.

The nightlife in Hurghada is vibrant and lively and will suit the young and lively. There are plenty of family friendly bars and restaurants as well as nightclubs for the youngsters. Around Papas Beach area there is a bar, restaurant and a nightclub right on the beach, you are literally dancing on the beach with the sand between your toes.

As you stroll along the beach front you can enjoy a bite to eat in one of the restaurants or sit outside a bar and people watch with a cocktail or soft drink. There are plenty of shops and bazaars open until late at night, perfect for getting your presents to take home. Most of the restaurants in the area serve a variety of traditional and International dishes so there is something for all taste buds.

Along the beach front is where a majority of the hotels are located in Hurghada, all with amazing views of the sea, perfect for watching the sun set whilst sat on your balcony. They all offer fist class customer service and have fantastic facilities for all the family to enjoy. Along the main street is where the cheaper accommodation can be found, you may even come across and Egyptian guesthouse. They all range from 3 to 5 star throughout the resort with board basis from self catering to All Inclusive. Whatever your budget may be Hurghada will have accommodation to suit.
