Costa Adeje is one of the popular resorts that are grouped together on the south coast of Tenerife, and which draw in travellers from around the world.
Just a short trip from the airport, Costa Adeje is home to a range of accommodation that will suit all budgets although the resort is known for it’s higher end 5* options – many of which offer spas, sporting facilities and plenty to entertain the children.
Costa Adeje is a great option if you want to lie back and enjoy the beach – quite simply because there are so many of them. More than a dozen can be found along the coast around Costa Adeje, including a number that are Blue Flag standard.
The resort has plenty of restaurants and bars where you can grab a bite to eat or relax with a drink, although the nightlife is best described as more conservative.
You don’t have to go far if you do want to dance the night away however, with the clubs of Playa de las Americas just a short walk away.

Things To Do
Siam Park
One of the main attractions for anyone considering Costa Adeje is Siam Park – one of the top waterparks to be found anywhere in Europe. The popular complex is home to a number of different slides that are suitable for all ages, ranging from a splash park for youngsters to the high-speed Tower of Power, where you can hit 80km/h as you pass through a shark-filled aquarium. There’s also one of the largest wave pools in the world.
Hit the shops
Costa Adeje is a great place to enjoy some retail therapy whilst away in the sun and you certainly won’t be short of options during your time in the resort. If you want the best designer gear then the Plaza del Duque mall is the place to go with its various high-end stores, whilst there is also the San Eugenio Commerical Centre featuring over 100 stores and the nearby Siam Mall. That’s before you consider the various markets that take place on a weekly basis.
Mount Teide
Easily accessible from Costa Adeje is the towering peak of Mount Tiede, which remains of the largest volcanoes to be found anywhere in the world. A trip to the Mount Teide National Park provides the chance to tackle a range of different walking trails, whilst those who prefer to take things a bit easier can board a cable car that provides a route to the summit to take in the surrounding views.
Play a round
If you fancy a round of golf during your trip to Tenerife then you’re in luck, with Costa Adeje being home to a championship 18 hole course. There’s a shorter nine hole option if you are limited for time, whilst there is also a driving range on site. The Club House is a great place to relax with a drink afterwards. If you prefer your golf to be of the crazy variety, then there are options within the heart of the resort to provide some fun.
Relax on the beach
Head for Costa Adeje and there is a good chance that you’ll want to spend some time relaxing on the beach. Playa Fanabe and Playa del Duque are two of the most popular options with plenty of golden sand on which to lie back and embrace the sunshine, with bars and restaurants to be found nearby.
Los Cristianos
Nearby Los Cristianos is a great place to visit and can be accessed with ease either on foot or on the local bus. The local market is particularly popular and is one of the largest on the island – providing the chance to try and barter for a bargain on souvenirs to take back home.
Aqualand
If you have smaller children in tow then Aqualand might be a good option to consider instead of Siam Park for some waterpark fun. The rides here are slightly smaller whilst there is also the chance to catch a dolphin show on site.
Jungle Park
The smaller of two zoos on the island, Jungle Park is located around 20 minutes away from Costa Adeje and is well worth a visit if you want to spend some time away from the beach. Expect to see a wide selection of wildlife, including big cats, whilst there are various shows that take place throughout the day.
