Imerovigli is a pretty village with some of the best sunsets on Santorini. The village was ripped apart by a volcanic eruption in 1956. The re-construction of the village means that it now boasts some of the best cave house settlements on the island. The island capital, Fira, is 4 km from Imerovigli, Oia is 9.7 km away and Santorini Airport is 9.7 km from the complex. Skaros Rock, one of the nearest places of interest, was one of five fortresses built to protect the island from pirates in Venetian times.
