La Penita Apartments 3 stars

The La Penita Apartments is a lovely little complex located between the resorts of Puerto del Carmen and the peaceful resort of Playa de los Pocillos.

In the lobby area of the complex, there is a relaxing seating area and also an internet corner for a wired internet connection, as well as free Wi-Fi available in all communal areas.

The resort centre has many Wi-Fi hotspots, especially in the restaurants and bars, to try and encourage holidaymakers to make regular visits.

The reception desk is available throughout the day and evening but only for at certain times and can offer a wide range of services including taxi booking, hairdressing booking service, car and bicycle rental, currency exchange, luggage storage and excursion ticket sales.

Guests can enjoy not just one, but two glorious beaches where there are many water sports to enjoy, or guests can just relax on one of the many sun loungers that are scattered across the beaches.

There is also a scuba diving centre as well as a windsurfing school, offering lessons and courses to gain qualifications.

The outdoor swimming pool has a large surrounding sun terrace for guests to relax on one of the sun loungers with parasols, to enjoy that well earned break in the sun.

For the children, there is a section of the pool that is just for them, as well as an enclosed playground, for the children to have fun and create some great holiday memories.

The poolside bar is open all day to offer drinks, snacks and light lunches, as well as many locally produced alcoholic drinks for the adults.

Guests can take a short walk to the nearby supermarket, where they can purchase a variety of drinks, snacks and also many fresh and frozen products to enable them to prepare lovely meals back at their apartments.

There is also a laundry room that is self service and has a washing machine and a tumble dryer that is available to guests staying at the complex.

In the evening, there is a choice of two resorts to enjoy the fun-packed evenings and there are many activity parks scattered around the resorts that are very popular with the children.

The apartments are spacious and traditionally furnished, and all have a lounge with a sofa bed, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a rentable safe, a well-equipped kitchen, bathroom with a bathtub or shower and a hairdryer, bedroom with a large wardrobe and a furnished balcony or terrace with great pool or resort views.

Guests can rental additional items for the apartment such as fans and toaster which can be rented for the duration of your stay and a small refundable deposit may also be required.

The La Penita Apartments offer a good standard of accommodation and are a great choice for anyone looking for good value for money.
