Elba Lanzarote Royal Village Resort Hotel 3 stars

Elba Lanzarote Royal Village Resort Hotel is a fantastic 4 star hotel that is located in a quiet spot, set back from the centre of the resort of Playa Blanca, but as you take the 16 minute walk to the beachfront, you will walk past abundances of restaurants and bars that aim to entertain families with children of all age groups.

Although it is located on the outskirts of the resort, is Flamingo beach only 800 metres away and main resort beach of Playa Dorada is close by, which the hotel runs a regular bus shuttle service to.

The large lobby area offers space and relaxing seating area and has an internet corner for wired internet connection, or guests can also enjoy the free Wi-Fi that is available to guests in all communal areas.

The 24 hour reception desk is available to assist and offer currency exchange, luggage storage and a courtesy shower for guests returning home on a late flight, laundry service, rental of safety deposit boxes, tourist information, and excursion ticket sales for some great days out and also bicycle rentals. Guests that wish to rent a car for the duration of the holiday can use the facility of the car parking spaces that are within the hotel grounds.

There is a variety of facilities for the whole family to take part in including Billiards, darts, table tennis, beach volleyball, tennis courts, aerobics including in the pool.

The children can also have a great time enjoying the playground and the children's pool that has slides that parents will find it hard to prise them away at the end of the day. There is also the fun pack daily program of activities at the kids club that is run by qualified staff to ensure that they play in a safe environment.

The hotel has been adapted to ensure that guests with wheelchairs can also enjoy the facilities and can use the lifts to gain access to all of the rooms on the higher floors.

The uniquely shaped swimming pools and a choice of 5 are set within beautiful Mediterranean trees and surrounded by the whitewashed sun terrace that allows the swimming pools to shine a bright blue and stand out within the complex. There are many sun loungers scattered around in individual areas so that guests can relax under the sun in privacy.

The fun atmosphere at the pool bar is one of the reasons why guests return year after year and the friendly staff are always available to offer hot and cold meal, ice cold soft drinks and the local beers and cocktails are a favourite with the guests, especially the non-alcoholic San Francisco cocktail for the children.

The sun is starting to go down and it's time to head to the buffet style restaurant to try some of the speciality dishes or some of the more traditional meals that guests will be familiar with.

Moving on to the entertainments hall where laughter comes naturally to everyone, with the carefully organised evenings filled with quiz nights, bingo, mini disco and also the live music, cabaret shows and traditional flamenco dancers.

If this is not your thing, there is the bar that is open until late with an array of pool tables for the whole family to have a bit of friendly competition.

The apartments are bright and spacious and have traditional but stylish furnishings, set on cool tiled flooring. The apartments are large and spacious with a lounge area, a sofa bed, satellite TV, kitchen area with a fridge, double or twin beds in the bedroom with a wardrobe, private bathroom with a bath or shower and a balcony or terrace. Wi-Fi is available and is free for the first 30 minutes and is chargeable after this time, for the time used

This is a great 3 star complex that ticks all of the boxes and although it is aimed at families with children, the hotel welcomes couples and groups of friends to experience the service and have an enjoyable stay.
