Contessina Hotel 3 stars

Contessina Hotel is only 80 metres from Tsilivi Beach and 4 km from Zakynthos Town on the eastern coast of Zante. The Tsilivi Water park is nearby, and the beach has been awarded a blue flag for its cleanliness and crystal clear waters. The village centre is a short walk from the hotel, where tourists can browse around the shops, bars and restaurants.

Zakynthos is a beautiful Greek island in the Ionian Sea that is home to the famous loggerhead turtle Caretta-Caretta. These protected species lay their eggs in the sand at Laganas beach, and 8 weeks later, the eggs hatch and the baby turtles scurry down the beach into the sea.

Boat trips are available to see the turtles up close as they swim alongside the boats. Another excursion worth taking is the trip to see the world famous ‘Shipwreck’ beach, where holidaymakers can swim in the bay and walk around the ‘Shipwreck’.
