The Cabin Hotel is a 3* hotel situated in the suburb of Borgartun, close to the Icelandic capital Reykjavik.

Featuring a range of different accommodation options, the hotel provides a cost effective way in which to explore the dramatic landscapes of the island – such as the stunning Blue Lagoon, which is less than an hour away by road.

Accommodation at the hotel is spread across 249 rooms, all of which have undergone renovation work in recent years.

Those rooms are a mixture of standard, deluxe, superior and family rooms that are suitable for a wide array of guests; from those who are travelling alone for those who are taking the children along for the ride.

Rooms come with a television, telephone, free Wi-Fi internet access and private en-suite facilities, with deluxe and superior rooms adding additional features like a fridge, and tea and coffee making facilities.

Amongst the facilities that are available at the hotel are a round the clock reception desk, car hire, shop, tour desk and a business centre.

Whilst there is no swimming pool at the hotel, it is only a short walk to the hugely popular Laugardalslaug pool; an outdoor complex featuring a range of pools and hot tubs which is one of the most popular of its kind in the region.

In terms of dining, there is a buffet restaurant on site, as well as a snack bar and a traditional bar in which to get a relaxing drink on an evening.
