Faliraki is arguably the most action-packed resort on the island of Rhodes, with plenty to keep visitors entertained during their HOT Holiday in the Mediterranean.
Known as something of a party hotspot, Faliraki is also a popular destination for families; a fact reflected in the varied list of accommodation options that are to be found across the resort.
Faliraki’s reputation for buzzing nightlife may be well known, but the resort on the north east coast of the island isn’t just about busy bars and clubs.
Okay, so there is plenty of opportunity to dance the night away if you so desire but Faliraki is about much more than the action that kicks off after dark.
For a start, there is a stunning stretch of beach that is spotlessly clean and has a Blue Flag rating for good measure, with plenty of space on which to relax in the sun or to take a dip in the calm waters of the Mediterranean.
There is also various watersports that can be enjoyed off the coast, which range from more sedate activities like pedalos to more extreme jetskiing and parasailing.
Those travelling with children will no doubt enjoy the chance to spend a day at the nearby waterpark, which is home to a wide selection of slides to suit all ages and is one of the largest anywhere in Europe.
The shopping across Faliraki offers everything from traditional Greek crafts and souvenirs to designer goods, whilst you can enjoy a range of cuisine at the many restaurants – which range from American diners to stunning seafood eateries overlooking the beach and even local Greek kebab houses.
You also don’t have to go far to reach the capital Rhodes Town, which can be accessed by water taxi and is home to a range of interesting historical sites.
