Costa Teguise is one of the smaller resorts on the island of Lanzarote but as the saying goes, good things come in small packages…
Purpose built for the tourist industry, Costa Teguise sits along the coast from Puerto del Carmen and Playa de los Pocillos and was once the go-to destination for King Carlos of Spain.
You don’t need to be royalty to visit these days, with the resort featuring a range of accommodation that is famed for high levels of customer service and fantastic facilities – including top class 5* offerings.
As with many of Lanzarote’s resorts, you can expect to find impressive beaches on which to relax and take in the sun. In fact, there are no fewer than five around the resort, linked by a promenade filled with bars and restaurants.
For families, there is a popular waterpark that will keep kids (both young and old) entertained for hours, whilst art lovers will enjoy the chance to visit the Ceser Manrique foundation to marvel at the works of the island’s most famous artist.
Depending on the time of year you visit, you might also be lucky enough to catch one of the various carnivals that take place – including a Brazilian Music Festival every June.

Aquapark
The Costa Teguise Aqua Park was the first on the island and features a range of waterslides that will appeal to the young and old alike. Alongside the larger slides, there is a lazy river and a special area dedicated to those youngsters heading into the water for the first time.
Lanzarote Aquarium
Home to a wide range of different species, there is also a shark tunnel that you can walk through whilst these majestic creatures from the deep swim all around you. Fun for all the family is pretty much guaranteed.
Play a quick round
Lovers of golf will enjoy a break in Costa Teguise because of the nearby courses, where you can tee off under the shadow of one of the volcanoes that helped shape the island landscape.
