Cala Galdana

Sitting on the south coast of the island, Cala Galdana is one of Menorca’s top destinations for tourists seeking to embrace the Mediterranean sun.

Like a number of other resorts on the island, Cala Galdana sits around horseshoe shaped sandy beach that is ideal for families.

In fact, the white sands of the main beach are regarded as one of Menorca’s best, with shallow waters that are ideal for children to take a refreshing dip and a dramatic backdrop of limestone cliffs that only serves to enhance the beauty of the area.

Alongside the beach there is a promenade with bars where you can grab a drink, whilst there are plenty of activities available both on and around the beach to entertain all ages throughout the day.

Throughout Cala Galdana, you’ll find plenty of accommodation options, with the resort having been purpose built to deal with the tourist market.

As a result, the resort might lack some of the traditional charm found elsewhere but you don’t have to go far to try and find some – with nearby Ciutadella offering plenty of opportunities to embrace the history and heritage of Menorca.

You could also head to Ferreries, just ten minutes away, to hit the local markets in search of a bargain to take back home.
