Tivoli World

If you're visiting Benalmadena with the children, or are a child at heart yourself, then a visit to Tivoli World is a must. Open since 1972, the theme park has grown through the years and is now home to more than 40 different rides that are suitable for all ages. You can also catch a range of shows with different performances offered throughout the day, whilst there are a range of dining options on site.

Bil Bil Castle

The Castillo de Bil Bil is one of the most famous buildings in Benalmadena and is located close to the beach. Known for its red appearance, the Arabic-style castle isn't particularly old (it only dates back to the 20th century) but has been turned into a cultural facility by the local council that mow houses a range of different exhibitions throughout the year. Various restaurants and bars line the nearby beach.

Benalmadena SeaLife Centre

Home to more than 2,000 creatures, Benalmadena's SeaLife Centre is one of the top attractions on the Costa del Sol - particularly for those travelling with children. As well as being able to walk through more than 30 different displays, visitors can watch sharks feed, hold a crab (minding those fingers) and be educated on the many different species to be found in both the surrounding waters and much further afield.

Calamorro Mountain

Towering over Benalmadena, the summit of Calamorro Mountain stands at more than 700m above sea level and offers stunning views of the resort and the surrounding area. You might even be able to see as far as Gibraltar on a clear day. There are various walking trails at the summit, which can be accessed by cable car; a trip that provides an experience in itself.

Malaga

Given how close Malaga is to Benamadena, it would be a shame not to spend some time in the majestic city, where you can spend some time shopping for souvenirs amongst the fancy boutiques, sit back and watch the world go by in the local cafes and bars or examine the culture available at attractions like the Picasso Museum.

Benalmadena Pueblo

Explore the other side to Benalmadena with a stroll through the narrow streets of the historic part of the resort. Here you can see what the resort was once like as you wander between the quaint white-washed houses before checking out the souvenir shops or grabbing a bite to eat in quaint cafes and restaurants.

Puerto Marina

It isn't hard to see why the main marina has been rated as one of the best in the world, with a wide range of top class restaurants and bars sitting alongside the small network of waterways that make up the marina. Enjoy a bite to eat or relax with a drink whilst looking out at the huge yachts bobbing around on the water or board a ship to take a cruise out to sea where you can embrace the beauty of the surrounding coastline.

Butterfly Park

Benalmadena is home to one of Europe's largest butterfly houses - an attraction that has proven to be one of the most popular in the resort. Fun for all the family, the Butterfly Park is home to more than 1,500 butterflies from around the world that are able to fly freely in a tropical paradise housed in the surroundings of a spectacular Thai temple.
