Acharavi is another resort located to the north of the island of Corfu that has developed into a popular destination for tourists who want to embrace the Mediterranean sun.

Given that the island is famed for its coastline, it should come as little surprise than the beach is one of the main selling points for Acharavi.

The golden sands run for 3km along the length of the resort and are ideal for families thanks to the shallow waters that are perfectly suited to children wanting to take a paddle in the sea.

As well as being somewhere to relax in the sun, the beach area is also home to a range of café and bars where you can sit back with a drink and take in the views – or simply watch the world go by.

With Acharavi being one of the main towns along this stretch of coast, you’ll fine a wide range of shops if you are looking for presents to take back home and plenty of bars that provide entertainment that runs into the night.

There are also plenty of restaurants that can provide cuisine both from the Mediterranean region and much further afield, with eateries located along the main street and also hidden on some of the smaller roads that lead to the beachfront.

Acharavi sits on the Corfu Trail, a circular walking route that follows the full coastline of the island. As a result, you can head off to explore the countryside and admire the impressive scenery with ease; seeing the other side of the island away from the beach.
