When you’re going away on holiday there is one thing above anything else that you can’t put a price on.
Time.
It’s a precious thing when you want to enjoy your time away from work, so if there is any way you can maximise that time then you’d be a fool not to.
One of the most popular things that travellers can do already is to make use of the various online check-in facilities that are offered by the main airlines – which prevents the need to queue at a desk on arrival at the airport.
However, selected airlines offer services that go beyond the norm that people have become accustomed to, which could give you even more time to enjoy your break in the sun…
Resort Flight Check-In
Currently offered at selected hotels within Benidorm, Majorca and Tenerife by Jet2, Resort Flight Check In is a new service that is designed to relieve the stresses that come when you are preparing to leave your hotel for the return journey home at the end of you holiday.
On the final day of your break, you can meet with your rep at the hotel to check in your baggage, which is then transferred to the airport in secure transport and loaded directly onto the aircraft – leaving travellers free to enjoy their final day without worrying about looking after their luggage.
It’s something that could well be particularly handy if you are taking a late flight home and would otherwise be left to lug a suitcase around with you after checking out of your accommodation.
Twilight Check-In
Offered by Virgin Atlantic on flights from Gatwick, Twilight Check-In allows travellers to check in the night before their flight to avoid any delays the following morning – ideal for those who may have a flight at peak times and who want to avoid any queues.
That’s alongside Virgin’s more regular online check-in facility, where you can check-in before you leave home and print out your boarding passes.
Disney Springs Check-in
In a similar way to Jet2’s offering, the Disney Spring’s Check-In is another Virgin Holidays initiative for those enjoying a break in the Orlando sun.
Heading to the Disney Springs Check-in site, travellers can check in for their return flight home and leave their luggage which is then taken direct to the airport and loaded onto the plane for the trip home.
It means holiday makers can then enjoy their last day in the Disney Springs resort before heading for the airport sans luggage to board their return flight.
Disney Express
Not everyone wanting to enjoy the Disney experience will do so on a trip to the USA, but those heading instead for Disneyland Paris have no need to miss out.
If travelling on Eurostar, you can simply head for the Disney Express counter on the first floor of Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station to drop off luggage and receive your advance hotel check-in documents before heading off to enjoy the start of your holiday.
On the trip home, drop off your luggage at the Concierge Desk at your hotel and it’ll be waiting for you at the Disney Express counter back at the station before you board your train.
