It’s somewhere we’ve visited a few times on our list so far, and today we’re heading back to Fuerteventura as we count down our list of hotels with waterpark access included as part of the package.
The Arena Beach hotel sits to the north of Fuerteventura in the resort of Corralejo, which is one of the top destinations for those who have elected to visit the island for their summer break.
Sitting in the heart of the resort, the 3* plus hotel underwent refurbishment work in early 2016, which is reflected in the modern and stylish design that is now found throughout.
Accommodation comprises of a range of spacious apartments that can sleep up to four people and which include cooking facilities – providing an option for those who want to rustle up a quick bite to eat in their room despite the fact that the resort operates on an All Inclusive basis.
There are three outdoor freshwater swimming pools within the hotel, one of which is includes a whirlpool and one of which is only for children.
There is also a splash park area with water jets and a small slide, with the pools being surrounded by a large sunbathing area with sunbeds on which to top up the tan.
Entertainment programmes run both during the day and into the evening and are suitable for guests of all ages; including team games, professional shows and quizzes.
For children, there is also the benefit of a kid’s club that is open for those aged from 4 through to 12 on an afternoon. There’s also a playground with climbing frames and slides.
Those who want to keep fit can make use of a fully-equipped gym, with a spa on site for anyone who prefers to simply relax and take things easy during their time away from home.
As with a number of hotels in Corralejo, the waterpark that is included as part of the package isn’t actually onsite, with guests instead being granted unlimited access to the nearby Acua Waterpark.
Situated on the edge of the resort a short walk away, the waterpark is the only one on the island and provides a range of different attractions.
They vary from the high-speed Kamikaze slide and the challenging rapids ride to a more sedate lazy river and a special area designed specifically for young children.
You can also relax in a Jacuzzi or take a ride on the waves in the wave pool – and all as often as you like during your stay.

Unlimited Acua Waterpark Entry:
Bursting with slides and attractions for the entire family, you’re sure to have a thrilling time! The black hole and multi-lane racers, where you reach up to speeds of 30 kilometres an hour will be a sure hit for those adrenaline lovers. There are plenty more slides to enjoy as well as the wave pool, plus the little ones will love the splash zone with animal themed slides and toad stool sprinklers. For a more relaxing time, sit back and soak up the sunshine in one of the whirlpools or sail on the lazy river. The park has numerous eating outlets from self-service to fast food options to keep you full of energy. Transport is not included.
