Travel to Puerto del Carmen with us

Puerto del Carmen was once a quaint little fishing village, but is now the most well-known holiday resort on the island of Lanzarote.

The main selling point of the resort are the beaches, particularly the Playa Grande which is perfect for families. Credited with the Blue Flag for cleanliness, the beach runs for more than kilometre and has plenty of facilities available, with the calm waters being perfect for youngsters wanting to paddle.

It can get busy during the summer months but there’s no need to be worried by that – given there are two other beaches nearby that are just as impressive.

Those who fancy getting involved in a range of water-based activities are also catered for, with diving off Playa Chica and wind surfing on Los Pocillos being just two of the options available.

As well as a range of bars and restaurants – many of which look out across the historic marina area – Puerto del Carmen sits close to the Timanfaya National Park, where you could enjoy a family friendly camel ride around the volcanic landscapes.

The capital city Arrecife is also just a short trip away and home to a selection of historical attractions that help provide an insight into island life.
