Costa Dorada

Travel to Costa Dorada with us

Costa Dorada is known as the 'Golden Coast' in Spain. It stretches from Barcelona right to the bottom of Tarragona, a total of 92 km of golden sand. This resort sees the sun for approximately 300 days of the year, perfect for a holiday throughout summer and winter. Tourists come here for the stunning golden sandy beaches and excellent water sports. The most popular beach in the region is in Salou with its Blue Flag award, shallow waters, relaxing atmosphere and a promenade flanked with bars, restaurants, cafes, shops and a play area for kids.

Cap Salou feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, but you are just 10 minutes drive away and it has a beautiful sandy cove surrounded by cliffs. In Salou you will also find Port Aventura, a fun filled theme park for everyone to enjoy.

Sitges is where a lot of the nightly entertainment happens, perfect for the young and lively. Dance all night and sleep all day! Every year there is an annual film festival attracting all kinds of celebrities and fans. Tarragona is full of Roman ruins whilst Barcelona is where you will find lots of architecture. Shopping in Costa Dorada is for everyone from those with a small budget to those who can splash out as much as they want to. Barcelona has Avenue Diagonal and Placa Catalunya to wander along. These are home to the likes of Prada, Gucci, Versace and Chanel.

Tarragona also has designer shops to explore. The other end of the scale can be found in places like Salou and Cambrils where there are weekly markets, middle of the road shops and great clothes shops. Evenings out in Barcelona are quite upmarket, Tarragona is more relaxing and Salou and Sitges are for the young and lively. All in all Costa Dorada is a fantastic region for a relaxing family holiday, a romantic break or a fun filled break with your friends.
