The resort has long been known for its bustling evening scene, with a huge number of bars and clubs where you can dance until the early hours and really let your hair down.

However, whilst that is certainly true, Ayia Napa is about more than just the nightlife and has plenty more to offer those who decide to visit for the annual overseas adventure.

For a start, there is the favourable weather conditions throughout the year, with average temperatures that will nudge 30 during the summer months with the sun shining brightly in the sky; perfect conditions for topping up your tan.

Even during the winter months, you can expect to see the temperatures running into the mid-teens, although there is also the possibility of encountering a rainy day or two.

The coast both in and around Ayia Napa is some of the best on Cyprus, with more than a dozen high quality beaches that carry a Blue Flag rating.

No two beaches are the same and cater for all manner of visitor as a result, with golden sand where you can focus on doing more than sun bathing, more secluded bays for additional privacy and stunning blue waters where you can take a refreshing dip.

The all action nature of Ayia Napa isn’t just limited to night times either, with a range of different watersports that are sure to entertain being offered off the coast.

When the sun does set on an evening however, there are more options than you can throw the proverbial stick at when it comes to evening entertainment.

The main bars and clubs are located close together in the heart of the resort, with the main square being lined by nightclubs where you might even get to catch a set from some of the top DJs around.

Away from the night scene, you could spend some time exploring the other side of Ayia Napa, with a picturesque monastery for those who love exploring history and culture, and an impressive waterpark nearby for those who are travelling with children – or those who are simply young at heart themselves.
