La Caleta Apartments 3 stars

The La Caleta Apartments is a popular 3-star complex that is close to everything you would want and need for an enjoyable holiday in La Palma.

The brightly painted apartment blocks are spaciously scattered within beautifully kept gardens showered with a variety of Mediterranean trees, bushes and exotic flowers, and offers a traditional Spanish feel throughout, without losing out on the modern features and facilities that you would want in your holiday accommodation.

There is a relaxing hotel lobby with a reception desk offering a variety of services such as currency exchange, luggage storage, laundry service, ironing service, courtesy shower room, tourist information and taxi bookings.

The nearest beach is a few minute's walk away from the hotel, or guests can enjoy watching the waves crashing against the rocks as you walk along the coastal path that is just outside the gates of the complex.

Because of its great location, guests only have a 10 minute transfer time from the airport and the island's capital Santa Cruz is just a 10 drive in the other direction, where you can see the historical architectural buildings throughout the city and the pretty cobbled streets full of boutique shops, which leads down to the harbour front.

The hotel has a large swimming pool with a surrounding sun terrace and well kept lawn for guests to relax and recharge their batteries on one of the many comfortable sun loungers with parasols, or guests can sit at the patio area at the poolside bar, that is open throughout the day to offer many ice cold drinks and snacks, as well as many locally produced beverages and cocktails for the adults. There are also vending machines around the complex, should anywhere be closed.

There is a large supermarket just across the road from the complex, where you can purchase a variety of fresh and frozen food, to allow guests to self-cater with ease in their well-equipped kitchen back at their apartment.

There is an internet corner in the reception lobby for those needing a wired internet connection and for those who have one of the latest phones, can catch up with friends and family back home by using the Wi-Fi that is available in all communal areas. The strength in signal may differ between areas of the complex.

You are relaxed and have enjoyed your day in the sun and now it is time to get ready for the evening ahead. Guests can look forward to a variety of delicious meals at the buffet style restaurant as well as show cooking and themed nights, or you could take a short taxi ride into the city centre for an evening of fine dining and entertainment.

The apartments are spacious and modern and all offer a lounge with comfortable sofas and a sofa bed, TV with many local and international channels, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area or breakfast bar, a separate bedroom with a large double or twins beds, tiled flooring throughout, a modern bathroom with a bathtub or shower and a balcony or terrace with a table and chairs for guests to relax at the end of the day, with a glass of wine in one hand, a book in the other, watching the sun setting into the ocean.
