Kontokali is a small village close to Gouvia on the eastern coast of Corfu. The beach is very clean and consists of sand and shingle. The resort is relatively quiet, with not a lot of nightlife. If tourists want a little more nightlife, Gouvia, which is a 30-minute walk along the main road, is the place to be. Boat trips along the coast are popular and a day trip will take you to the island of Paxos which is off the south coast of Corfu. Another recommended trip is the Beach BBQ. You will be taken to a secluded beach on the north of the island where you will have a BBQ with drinks. On the way back, you will stop off to have a swim in the caves in the crystal-clear waters.
