Travel to Playa Blanca with us

Like many resorts on Lanzarote, Playa Blanca was one a small fishing village that has been transformed into a holiday resort – and one that is ideal for those who want to enjoy a more peaceful break in the sun.

Further down the coast than the main resorts but still only 40 minutes or so from the airport, Playa Blanca features three Blue Flag beaches although you’re advised to get there early as they can get busy.

Watersports are available off the coast, including jet skiing and waterskiing, whilst the calm waters are perfect for a relaxing dip – something many of the locals do every morning.

Boat trips over to neighbouring Fuerteventura are possible but there is plenty to do within the resort itself, with a small waterpark, a range of shops and restaurants and a bustling marina area to explore.

That marina is where the best restaurants are to be found and it should come as no shock that seafood features prominently on the menu.

Things To Do

Book a cruise

The main harbour area is the place to go if you fancy booking a day out at sea, with the chance to head over to neighbouring Fuerteventura or to head off for some fishing. On your return, there is a range of bars and restaurants around the marina.

Dance the night away

The evening scene in Playa Blanca is quite reserved, but there is a small number of nightclubs where you can hit the dancefloor until the early hours. Should you fancy yourself as a singer, then there are also numerous karaoke bars where you can grab a microphone and show off your talents.

Retail therapy

If you're looking for some souvenirs to take back home, then a twice-weekly street market will provide somewhere to haggle for bargain. Alternatively, there are plenty of designer stores where you shop until you drop...

Timanfaya National Park

A short drive away from the resort, the Timanfaya National Park is well worth a visit to marvel at the stunning volcanic landscapes and to take in some of the best views across the island. You can even head for a restaurant where the food is cooked using thermal heat from underground.
