Travel to Morocco with us

When it comes to a short haul break, many people automatically consider the likes of Spain and Portugal but think a little out of the box and Morocco is a destination that might just appeal.

Sitting on the coast of North Africa, Morocco can be accessed from the UK in under four hours and is sure to provide visitors with a holiday experience that will live long in the memory.

One thing that is certain about Morocco is that it’s a destination where you can enjoy a HOT Holiday in every sense of the world, with temperatures in the height of summer that will nudge towards the early 40s.

Luckily, a sea breeze around the coast will keep things a bit more bearable – or you could always visit in spring or autumn when the high 20s is more likely.

Be warned though that if you visit in winter, it can get cold on a night when the sun goes down.

Considering that it’s only really since the late 1990s that Morocco has developed into a mainstream tourist destination, the country is now home to a number of impressive hotels that cater for all manner of travellers – from lone visitors seeking to explore to families looking for fun and couples in search of romance.

If you’re looking for a beach break then the resort of Agadir will rival anywhere back in Europe thanks to an impressive stretch of beach and acts as the ideal introduction to Moroccan life, with a number of European-style cafes and restaurants that sit alongside traditional markets and souks.

For a real taste of Morocco, the city of Marrakech is somewhere that has to be seen to be believed, with stunning traditional architecture, bustling souks and local street performers at every turn.

It certainly provides a colourful introduction to a fascinating country where no two holidays are the same.

Things To Do

Jemaa el-Fna

The largest city square in Africa, Marrakech's Jemaa el-Fna is also one of the busiest – so much so that it would make a trip through Piccadilly Circus appear to be a walk in the park. You won’t know where to look with the bustling market being home to all manner of goods, whilst don’t be shocked to see snake charmers, musicians and acrobats doing their thing.

Hit the markets

You can’t miss the markets when on holiday in Morocco so why not embrace the experience and enjoy the unique opportunity to barter for a deal in a traditional souk. You’ll be able to pick up all manner of goods to take back home, from food and drink to spices, leather goods and woodwork.

Visit a Hammam

A traditional experience to enjoy whilst in Morocco is a visit to a hammam – or public bath house. Here, you can undergo a spa treatment that will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Explore history

You can explore history at length on a trip to Morocco, with churches and temples at every turn where you can explore the history and culture of this fascinating country.
