Although the transfer time from the airport is slightly longer than at some other destinations, the resort is more than worth the wait…

For a start, there is the weather that you can expect to enjoy on your arrival, with the summer months seeing temperatures regularly running into the 30s.

Even in the depths of winter, you can enjoy temperatures that are comfortably in the 20s, with relatively low levels of rain – although some is possible.

A major selling point of the resort on Turkey’s Aegean coast is the beaches, with more than half a dozen on which you can make the most of the weather and top up your tan.

It’s not all a case of simply lying back on golden sand however, with a selection of watersports being available off the coast. The stunning turquoise waters are also more than welcoming when you want to cool off, and are ideal for families.

If you are travelling with children, the Kusadasi is a family friendly resort packed with plenty for visitors of all ages.

A number of waterparks are available within easy access of the resort with everything with large adrenaline-filled slides to lazy rivers and splash parks for youngsters.

When it comes to being entertained, there is plenty going on every evening, with a range of different bars and restaurants offering cuisine from around the world.

The area around the marina is particularly popular, and leads onto the promenade where you can dance until the early hours with views out to sea.

For lovers of culture and history, the ruins of the ancient city of Ephesus are just half an hour away and are one of the top attractions for anyone visiting the region.

Things To Do

Ephesus

The ancient Greek city of Ephesus is located around 30km from Kusadasi and is one of the main attractions in the area. Dating back as far as the 10th century BC, the city was once part of the Ioanian League and is famed for the Temple of Artemis and the impressive Library of Celsus. It will come as little surprise to learn that Ephesus is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site given it’s historical importance.

Grand Bazaar

Go anywhere in Turkey and you’ll be able to hunt out a bargain in one of the local markets, and that is certainly true on a trip to Kusadasi. The resort’s Grand Bazaar is located close to the bustling harbour area and is packed with stalls selling all manner of goods. Get ready to haggle with the stall holders if you want to grab a bargain.

Adaland

Adaland is one of the popular waterparks in the area around Kusadasi and offers fun for all the family during the main tourist season. As well as a selection of chutes and slides, there is a wave pool, lazy river and a tropical beach that provides fun for all ages. The park also houses a dolphin park where you can see these majestic creatures in action or even join them in the water for a unique experience that will live long in the memory.

Tortuga

Tortuga Waterpark is a pirate themed attraction that is sure to be a hit with families spending time in the Kusadasi region. In total, there are 14 slides of differing sizes that are suitable for young children through to adults who are simply young at heart. There’s also a popular ‘wipeout’ section similar to that seem in the popular TV show.
