Travel to Kemer with us

No matter whether you are travelling with friends or family, Kemer is a holiday destination that delivers in spade for anyone considering a break to the Turkish Riviera.

Located just over an hour south of Antalya, the resort is known for its picture-postcard scenery, with dramatic mountain landscapes sitting alongside impressive beaches that are drawing in increasing numbers of visitors on a yearly basis.

As with other resorts on the Turkish coast, Kemer benefits from impressive weather conditions throughout the year - particularly during the height of summer.

Here, the temperatures will regularly go into the 30s whilst there will be little in the way of rain and even when the temperature drops in the autumn and the chance of rain increases, you can still expect to be greeted by temperatures in the mid-teens.

Given the expansive nature of the coast within the Antalya region, it will come as little surprise to read that the beaches within Kemer are also right out of the top draw.

Moonlight Bay is the main beach within the modern-day resort and has been given a Blue Flag rating that makes it ideal for all the family, with the mix of sand and shingle being the perfect place to relax under the sun.

Head for the other side of the marina, and there is the chance to take part in a range of watersports, whilst within easy reach of the resort there are various other options if you want to escape the crowds.

Alongside the main beach you’ll be able to find a selection of restaurants and bars, whilst it’s also the place where the more high end hotels are located – offering the chance to embrace views out to sea over the course of your stay.

Towards the beach is where you’ll find the best in evening entertainment, with plenty of places to catch live music when the sun goes down. Should you wish to make a proper night of it, there are also various clubs where you can dance until the early hours.

Head outside the resort and you can expect to find ancient ruins that show off the history of Turkey as well as national parks where you can embrace the natural beauty of the area.

Things To Do

Olympos Aerial Tram

The Olympos National Park is easily accessible from Kemer and the main attraction is the cable car that will take you on the ten minute journey to the summit of Mount Olympos. Taking visitors to a height of more than 7,700 feet, the end reward is stunning views of the surrounding area although it’s worth noting that the temperatures at such heights will be much cooler than at the base of the mountain – so dress accordingly.

Dolphinarium

The Dolphinarium in Kemer is a popular attraction with those who want to see these stunningly beautiful creatures up close. As well as a series of shows, there is the opportunity to swim alongside the dolphins yourself or to let off some steam in a fun-filled waterpark.

Dinopark

If you’re travelling with children then there is a good chance that they’d enjoy the chance to pay a visit to Dinopark which, as the name suggests, provides the chance to return to the time of the dinosaurs. You’ll get to see huge animated models of some of the most well-known dinosaurs that ever lived, whilst there is also the chance to go zip-lining, wall climbing, swimming or to catch a film in the 7D cinema.

Göynük Canyon

If you are a nature lover then a trip to the Göynük Canyon should be pretty high on your ‘to do’ list during your trip to Kemer. There is plenty of opportunity to go hiking through pine forests to visit scenic waterfalls whilst there are various leisure activities for those who want to sample something a bit more extreme – with zip lines and the chance to go canyoning being particularly popular.
