Ca'n Picafort

Ca'n Picafort is located to the north east of Majorca and is the main coastal development in the district of Santa Margalida.

Once a small fishing village, Ca’n Picafort has now been transformed into a popular tourist resort welcoming returning guests year after year; many of whom want to make the most of the favourable weather throughout the year.

That includes temperatures that run into the 30s during the summer months, with mild winters where you can expect to see the mercury hit the high teens – albeit with evenings being noticeably cooler.

There are two good sandy beaches within the resort that are made up of white sand, with a promenade alongside that likes them together and which is packed with shops and bars.

Head outside the resort and you could head into some larger dunes if you want to explore, whilst the beaches away from the resort may be better suited to swimming – with the waters within the resort itself being slightly deeper.

As well as a harbour where you could book a trip out to sea, or simply relax with a drink whilst watching boats bobbing on the water, there is a small number of nightclubs and bars for evening entertainment as well as a varied selection of restaurants.

Locally caught seafood is particularly popular and something you should certainly bear in mind.
